Wesley Chapel Florida dentist Doctor Sherriff Ali smiling

Throughout the years and from an early age, I have sat in the dental chair many times myself. Having been on the other side of the room allows me to understand your perspective - the patient’s fears, concerns and frustrations more in depth; something I value highly and helps me empathize and build a stronger connection with my patients. The joy and satisfaction I felt early on in my career when watching patients admire their new smiles in the mirror and beam with excitement, was replaced by immense gratitude, pride and a deep sense of accomplishment after witnessing patients transform, over the course of a few months, and then over years, to emerge happier and more confident than ever. That is the true transformation I strive for at Kaizen Family Dentistry in Wesley Chapel and offer you more than just oral health and physical wellness.

A note from Dr. Ali:

I am here on a mission to help patients get on a path towards improving their oral hygiene and health, one bite at a time.

By providing a comprehensive list of dental services for patients of all ages, I aim to make dental care an enjoyable experience. We combine humor, comfort, and reliable treatment options, and are ready to help you and your family change the way you view visiting the dentist’s office.

Small incremental changes over time are more feasible to implement and will lead to longer-lasting results and better overall habits. That is the true transformation I strive for at Kaizen Family Dentistry. We offer more than just oral health and physical wellness.

What made you get into dentistry?

I knew I wanted to help others from an early age. My passion for working with my hands, fixing things and creating art, combined with the desire to serve and a love for science, sparked my curiosity towards dentistry. Moreover, and also at a young age, I remember watching my mother suffer in the hands of an antiquated, unskilled dentist with poor chair side manner. And so, as my trajectory into dentistry began, I vowed to become the dentist people need - caring, compassionate and free of negative judgement. I am grateful and am fortunate for the fascinating ever-growing and evolving path it has been, so far.

What have you done to stay up to date?

Sharpening my professional skills and staying up to date with new trends in science, technology and dentistry has been of utmost importance over the 22 years I have been in practice. With that objective in mind, I frequently attend conferences and courses on restorative and conservative dentistry, complete mouth rehabilitations, implants, thorough cosmetic makeovers, sedation and dentistry related phobia and anxiety disorders across the country.

My credentials are:

  • Masters degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology
  • Advanced Education in General Dentistry with the University of Florida (Go Gators!)
  • Fellow and Member of the International Dental Implant Association
  • Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry (limited to only 4 % of dentists in the USA and Canada)
  • Board member of the Tampa Bay Academy of General Dentistry
  • Member of the American Dental association, the Academy of General dentistry, American Academy of Clear Aligners, Florida Dental Association
  • Member of the American Academy of Clear Aligners

Why should I see you?

Above all I value the relationships established with my patients and pride myself for the chair side experience I have to offer, as much as I do my clinical skills. I am here to listen to you, your story, identify your needs, work on overcoming any fears or apprehensions, and explain how we will reach those treatment goals together.

To your best health,
I look forward to meeting you!

Outside the Office

When Dr. Ali is not busy trying to make people smile, he enjoys traveling, spending time with his family exploring Tampa, and procrastinating until the last moment before signing up for races and obstacle courses that he is completely unprepared for.
